Charlie is a border collie and lives with Ron and Vera (and Oggie). He is in the very privileged position of actually being liked by Oggie - well, when she is in the mood, and she condescends to play with him.
Charlie had a rough start to life before coming to live in the Edge household but quickly settled and is now a very happy chappy.
He soon got used to the continuous caravanning round the flyball tournaments and confided in me that he thought maybe he had joined the traveling gypsies as they only seemed to stay in one place in the winter. He's a wise dog!.
After his first try of flyball, Charlie realised his true vocation in life - flyball racing! He loves it and quickly got the hang of it, now running in the team and getting his Intermediate award in May 2009. The only thing that distracts him is the sight of children playing which seems to fascinate him and he will stand and stare for hours. Weird boy!
When not flyballing, Charlie's favourite hobby is chasing shadows, which he is obsessed with. His own shadow seems to be the best as it keeps moving when he does - fancy that!
