Flyball Awards

The points attained by dogs are added together throughout the year and also throughout their competative life. These points lead to the following awards:

Flyball Dog - 200 points

Flyball Dog Intermediate - 1,000 points

Flyball Dog Graduate - 3,000 points

Flyball Dog Advanced - 5,000 points

Silver Award - 10,000 points

Gold award - 15,000 points

Ice Blue Moon Award- 20,000 points, named after the 1st dog to achieve this title

Platinum Award - 25,000 points

Pearl Award - 30,000 points

Jade Award - 35,000 points

Chica Chicana - 40,000 points, named after the 1st dog to achieve this title

Sapphire - 50,000 points

Diamond - 60,000 points

Opal - 70,000 points

How the Points are Awarded

Each time a team races in a BFA sanctioned flyball tournament each dog racing with that team can earn points towards a flyball title. Each of the 4 dogs contributing to a clean run (a run without any faults) will be awarded 20 dog points. 5 points will be awarded for each leg which is won.

The BFA award a certificate of achievement when any dog attains the necessary points to move up to the next level.
